And that's a quote from the pilot episode of Global Frequency, the most popular TV show never screened.
The WB had ordered a short season of 13 episodes to air in the spring of 2004, and the pilot was filmed in the meantime. Management changes were operated on the network and that brought the production to a halt with no immediate airing plans.
The show is based on the homonymous Warren Ellis novel franchise that imagines a world controlled by a secret, benign network called The Global Frequency formed by scientists, spies and ordinary people dealing with possibly catastrophic security alerts that the world doesn’t know of.
Anyway, you can find the pilot out there, it's quite easy and it's worth it. The most fascinating thing I found on the show was that there are only 4 main characters: Sean, the man who has just bumped into an agent's cellular ringing and the other 3 main characters (the only people running The Global Frequency we know so far), who are women (which never happens in scifi/action productions).
Miranda Zero is particularly interesting since she's the one in command and she also does fieldwork impressively well. (Just as in Mission: Impossible but without Oooh, look how good I am and doing the job in a few minutes of the pilot so that there's more time to things that really matter.)
And in the end, there's something Miranda does that I do love... but I won't tell you until you watch it, so... go! ;)
